SRF Monastics’ Visit – March 3-7, 2011
We are pleased to announce that on March 5-7, 2011, we will be blessed to have Brother Jayananda and Brahmachari Augusto from SRF Center Department join us to lead meditations, and conduct special events.
The monastics will lead a workshop on ‘Deepening our Group Meditations’, followed by a Group life oriented Satsanga, on Saturday March 5. Guided Meditation followed by the Sunday Lecture service on March 6 and Master’s Mahasamadhi Service on the evening of Monday, March 7. We will also have a Pot Luck social event for the afternoon of Sunday March 6. Please refer to the followinglink for more information.
All members and friends of SRF are welcome to attend the meditation services, social and workshop. Master’s Mahasamadhi commemoration service is open to all those well enough acquainted with the SRF teachings to appreciate the significance of the Guru-disciple relationship.
Fundraising for the March 2011 Monastics’ Visit
We anticipate that the total cost of the March 2011 visit will be about $4,800, including airfare and hotel accommodation. We have so far raised $1660 towards the same, and we will therefore need to raise an additional $3,120. We would very much appreciate your support and any donations that you could provide. There is a monastics’ visit donation box in the bookroom. Donations of any amount may be made by cash, cheque or by credit card.
